A bit about Lisa.

Lisa is a student success advisor, writer, and an MSW student who volunteers her time with various women’s organizations.

She is a graduate of Simon Fraser’s Writer’s Studio program, and has begun her third draft of a commercial fiction novel.

Lisa’s had short fiction published through kerning | a space for words, emerge 22 anthology, and Blank Spaces Magazine. She’s also had poetry published through Poetry Undressed, and a personal essay published through The Ma Books. Lisa’s flash fiction has been longlisted for the Hummingbird Flash Fiction Prize, and shortlisted for The Raven short story prize.

In the moments in between, she enjoys short hikes, long kayaks, and finishing the cheese before company comes. Lisa lives north of Toronto with her partner, daughter and very handsome dog.
